| International wargaming
celebs visit the Kapiti Fusiliers
|
|
Three well-known UK figure sculptors, Alan and Michael Perry and
Brian Nelson, recently flew half-way round the world specially to
visit the Kapiti Fusiliers, and to squeeze in a little work for
Peter Jackson on the side.
Well, that's not strictly true - maybe they flew here to work for
Peter Jackson and visited us on the side! But, whatever, we were
most honoured to be able to spend a very sociable evening in Wellington
with these celebrities of the wargaming world.
All three are sculptors for Games Workshop, and the Perry twins
are also well-known for their own Perry Miniatures line. It was
a real privilege to be able to glean advice from these top sculptors,
as well as to share views about the hobby from both sides of the
world.

Fusilier Scott's copy of Warhammer Ancient Battles, whilst Brian
Nelson and Alan Perry wait their turn. The honour of having his
book signed must have totally flumoxxed Scott, as he got himself
well and truly lost on the way home.

Michael for providing us with such an informative and entertaining
evening.
